Worrying that you might be pregnant can make it feel like the world has stopped. But taking a pregnancy test at the right time will ensure greatest accuracy. You should take a pregnancy test after you miss your period and with your first-morning urine. If you have irregular cycles, wait at least three weeks after unprotected sex before testing. Looking for no-cost lab-quality pregnancy testing? At Baywater Women’s Clinic, we’re got you covered.

If you received a positive pregnancy test result, getting an ultrasound is the next step. Ultrasound is a simple scan that will verify your pregnancy and confirm other essential details you need to know to stay safeespecially if you’re considering an abortion. At Baywater Women’s Clinic, we offer no-cost, limited ultrasounds because we care about your health and believe you deserve to have the answers you need to move forward.

All services, resources, and appointments at Baywater Women’s Clinic are offered at no cost to you. We do this because we believe that cost should never be a barrier to receiving the services and support you need during pregnancy and beyond.

Yes! We want you to feel comfortable, and we encourage you to bring a friend, relative, your partner or other support individual if you desire. Your partner is encouraged to attend any appointments as well. However, if you want to come alone, that’s okay too! All information will be kept strictly confidential. If you do bring a guest, we will ask you to complete a safety screening alone before your guest joins the appointment.

We understand! Many women come to us without knowing what to do next. Your best first step is to make an appointment with us to get a no-cost pregnancy test and discuss your options. We recognize that a woman faces an unplanned pregnancy on multiple levels. Our caring, knowledgeable staff can discuss your situation and options holistically (physically, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, etc.) providing you with the resources you need to make an informed decision.

Unfortunately, you can be pregnant and have an STD at the same time. In fact, having an untreated STD while pregnant can cause serious harm to you and to your pregnancy. If you’ve had unprotected sex with a high-risk sexual partner or shared needles, it’s important that you get tested immediately.

Because our services are no cost to you, we do not require to see an insurance card or any form of payment when you come in for your appointment. This way, we are able to ensure that you get the resources and services you need in a completely confidential* manner.

The abortion pill induces a chemical/ medical abortion. It is taken in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, involving 2 medications. The first medication is Mifeprex, which blocks progesterone and interrupts pregnancy development prompting detachment of the implanted embryo. Secondly, Misoprostol is taken up to 48 hours later, inducing contractions to empty the uterus. Expect strong cramping, bleeding, nausea and vomiting. A final visit to the clinic is necessary to ensure the abortion is complete (8-10% of women will require a surgical abortion to complete the process.)
